About

The Port Museum will be dedicated to the diverse significance of the Hamburg Port’s special place and its role in history, today and in the future. Its transparent and inviting facade attracts people to the port and exhibition areas. This transparent box symbolizes a shipyard, and the red mass in it symbolizes the ship. This facade reveals the red mass inside when it gets dark and hides it during the day. The museum has both temporary and permanent exhibition facilities, library and a continuous ramp connects all floors.
